Where are my mid-life closet creatives, art-curious, and busy peeps who want to explore art as a self-care practice or heck, just carve out some time FOR self-care? This new class was specifically created for you in mind

Why? Because the conversations I’ve had over and over again sound like this…

  • My parents didn’t want me to be an artist because it’s not sustainable
  • I was told being an artist is not a real career
  • Painting is nice, but it can only be a hobby…
  • Artists are dreamers and not realistic (and they’re starving)

When my mom asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I said, “I want to be an artist!”
She said something like, “Oh child! You’ll be rich and famous after you die, like Pablo Picasso. Maybe you should pick something else…”

And just like that, my dream balloon burst 😭💥 As a child, I was devastated. As an adult, I understood my mom was just looking out for me…
And here’s what I want you to know: Painting, making art is one of the most powerful self-care activities you can do!

And here’s what I want you to know: When I started painting again (after a 10+ year hiatus in my late teens and 20’s), new possibilities opened up for me. Getting back to creativity was a game-changer. A lifesaver. Painting, making art is one of the most powerful self-care activities you can do!

Maybe right now you…

The power of creativity and art: Art is a form of personal development. Creativity and art-making opens individuals to change, encourages authenticity and allows individuals access to a greater understanding of their individual potential. The act of spontaneously generating something from nothing (even if this “something” is merely a straight line drawn on a blank piece of paper) demands the presence of original vision.
